Rochester Special Hockey, a member of American Special Hockey Association (ASHA); is an organization that specializes in providing training in the game of ice hockey for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to be inclusive for all allowing everyone to experience what siblings and friends find available.
The Rochester IceCats organization has been in existence since 1996. Our member players are enthusiastic and a joy to be around, always displaying smiles and unwavering determination. They consistently give their all during both practice and games, always eager and ready to learn new skills. Our team focus and goals are geared to individual needs with an emphasis on socialization, personal responsibility, team responsibility, and sportsmanship.
Rochester Special Hockey is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization, supported by our families and dedicated individuals who serve as coaches, trainers, drivers, and most importantly, fans. We are members of United Way of Rochester #3345 (donations appreciated). We are fiscally responsible to our team and organization. The Rochester IceCats will supply equipment for those in need, thanks to donations from both the public and private sectors.
Your generous donations help us continue to provide these essential services and support to our players. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference in the lives of our athletes. Thank you for your support!
